I cannot believe January is over already! It was a fantastic reading month for me though, especially considering how busy life is starting to get right now. For my day-job I work at an accounting office and tax season is just beginning! So I’m glad I was able to read as many books as I did because I know the next few months will be dismal!
Physical Books:
- Winterspell by Claire Legrand – 4 Stars – This was an interesting retelling of the Nutcracker. And it definitely left me wanting more Nutcracker retellings! Let me know if you’ve heard of any others!
- Spinning by Tillie Walden (review coming soon!) – 5 Stars – this one is a graphic novel that you will want to read in one sitting. So beautiful and touching.
- The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan (you can read my review here) – 5 Glowing Stars – Such an amazingly beautiful story. This will absolutely go down as a favorite for me!
- The Forgotten Book by Mechthild Gläser (review coming soon!) – 4 Stars – This was a really fun, quick read!
Ebooks:
- The Bookworm by Mitch Silver – 3 Stars – The Bookworm had an interesting premise and it mostly kept me engaged throughout. But the ending was not satisfying at all to me. If mystery and political intrigue is your thing though, give it a shot!
- The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton (review coming soon!) – 5 Glittery Stars – Oh my goodness was this book lush and yet so dark. I loved it so much and cannot wait for the sequel!
How was your reading month?
