Blog Tour: Children of Blood & Bone

Children of Blood and Bone is finally out in the world!! How excited are you?!

I was super lucky to have received an ARC of this gorgeous book and I’m so happy that I did so I could help spread the word about it! It is dark and beautiful. The characters are interesting and relatable. And the magic system..

I am absolutely in love with the magic system! The people who are able to perform magic are called Maji. They are born with these abilities that are passed on from one generation to the next. The main character is named Zélie and she is a Reaper! Reapers are members of the Iku clan and have the power over life and death.

Check out all of the Maji clans below and follow the instructions to find out which clan you would belong to! Then let me know in the comments!

I would be a Winder and member of the Afêfê clan, so would be able to manipulate air! How awesome is that!

If somehow you haven’t heard much about this book yet, I’ll leave the synopsis below so you can check it out! 🙂

Synopsis: Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zelie’s Reaper mother summoned forth souls.

But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were targeted and killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope.

Now, Zélie has one chance to bring back magic and strike against the monarchy. With the help of a rogue princess, Zélie must outwit and outrun the crown prince, who is hell-bent on eradicating magic for good.

Danger lurks in Orïsha, where snow leoponaires prowl and vengeful spirits wait in the waters. Yet the greatest danger may be Zélie herself as she struggles to control her powers—and her growing feelings for the enemy.
