Hey there bookish friends!
I’m back with another tea post! I have so much love for tea, almost as much as my love for books. 😉 I’ve tried loads of different types of teas, but I keep coming back to Adagio Teas. One of my very favorite things about Adagio is that you can create your own blends, upload your artwork to accompany the tea, and then buy and share your blend with friends!
While I’ve only done minimal experimenting with mixing blends myself, I love supporting other artists on the site! And one of my favorite artists is Aun-Juli of Riddle’s Tea Shoppe. I’ve been following her for a few years now and am so impressed with how she can perfectly capture my favorite fandoms in tea. Not to mention her artwork is absolutely beautiful.
So, when I found out that some of my very favorite things: tea, Tolkien, and fandom goodness, coalesced into one, I couldn’t resist. Juli has lots of different blends and collections, but my obvious favorite is Tales & Tea Leaves based on Tolkien’s works. She just brings the perfect amount of whimsy in her work and the blends are always incredibly delicious.
Of these blends I absolutely adore Elven Nectar & Sweet Pipe Leaf. I love them so much in fact that I purchased the big tin option of both, because you can never have too much tea, right? Some other honorable mentions from this group: Elevenses (the perfect after-breakfast tea), Fool’s Took (sweet, creamy and delicious), The Pint (also available in Juli’s store in an adorable little mason jar), and Halfling’s Hoard (another sweet cup of deliciousness).
Have I mentioned that these teas are incredibly photogenic as well? When I set up to take my Instagram photos each week, I always find myself drawn to the same teas, simply because they’re just so gorgeous! And the artwork..I’m a huge fan! If you’d like to follow along with Juli’s artwork including behind-the-scenes and progress shots, she posts on Instagram here.
Have you ever tried Juli’s blends, or the other fandom blends on Adagio? I would love to hear your favorites! And if you’ve never tried Adagio, feel free to send me a message and I can e-mail you a coupon for $5 off your first purchase!
