Happy Friday!
I’ve been a bit neglectful of the blog this week. My youngest son turned 9 on Monday and that just threw my whole week off. But I’m here and I’m back to share with you the mail I got last week!
Here is the whole stack!
First up, is the August Tea-Scription box from The Tea Cellar. This is a local tea shop and I recently renewed my yearly subscription. They send 2-4 teas each month that are usually related to the season or holiday. We will be opening this box on the August 21 Tea Chats episode of the podcast I co-host, Our Life in Books!
Next is ah…more tea. I can’t deny my love for tea and I buy it almost as often as I buy books. This package was ordered from Adagio. If you’ve never ordered from them, I can send you coupon for $5 off your first order!
I ordered the apricot black tea, which has quickly become a new favorite. If you look closely, you’ll see by the time I took photos I had already opened the apricot tea and drank some. I also got samples of the mango green, wild strawberry, and blackberry sage oolong.
I also ordered some of the teas that I blended and my cousin designed! We made one as a companion to our podcast and aptly named it Our Life In Books. It is a blend of ceylon senota, blueberry, cream, and cinnamon and is another of my favorites. One of the other teas we created is an homage to our first book club book, The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. We called it Starr’s Bravery and it’s a blend of assam melody, maple cream oolong, and chocolate chips.
Next up is my July box from Tuma’s Book of the Month! After cancelling my Book of the Month Club subscription, I found Tuma’s to be a wonderful alternative. She chooses a wide range of diverse titles each month and includes adorable little goodies.
The book I chose for July was Future Home of the Living God by Louise Erdrich. I’ve hear loads of great things about this book so I cannot wait to read it!
And here are all of the adorable little goodies included in my box! I especially love that unicorn pin. 🙂
My final package was from Kaye Publicity & Bronzeville Books. Love and Other Criminal Behavior by Nikki Dolson is a collection of crime fiction stories that sound deliciously dark.
And here is a final shot of everything!
Thank you so much to everyone who sent me things this week. I’m forever grateful for connecting with so many people who share my passion for reading.
