Hello and happy Monday!
Today I’m sharing my book mail haul from the past week. If you follow me over on Instagram you know that I save my book mail throughout the week and then open it all on Sunday on my stories. Since stories disappear and I just love talking about books, I thought I’d share it here too!
Here’s my stack!
First up is a final copy of Traitor by Amanda McCrina from FierceReads! This book holds a special little place in my heart as I’ve had the opportunity to attend a few different virtual events with Amanda McCrina talking all about writing this book. I’m in the middle of reading it right now and so far, it’s great!
Next up is an ARC of Gatekeeper by Alison Levy from Books Forward. This sounds like a super interesting first book in a new fantasy series with a female-lead and paranormal creatures!
My friends over at Penguin Random House sent me a copy of The Travelers by Regina Porter. This sounds like such a wonderful historical fiction with a wide cast of characters and I can’t wait to read it!
Next, I got an ARC of The Times I Knew I Was Gay by Eleanor Crewes from Scribner Books! I don’t even know how to tell you how excited I am about this book! If it weren’t for my many other obligations I’d be picking this up immediately, but it’s going on the list and it will be read soon!
This collection of short stories, The Fear of Everything by John McNally was sent to me from Kaye Publicity. I love a good short story collection. Sometimes this is just what I need to pull me out of a reading slump!
Next is a final copy of Anxious People by Fredrik Backman that I received from Atria Books! This book sounds so good! It’s a mix of comedy and mystery, which is just perfect for me.
And it came with some fun extras, which I always just love!
This beautiful picture book, Amadou’s Zoo by Rebecca Walsh from Page Street Kids will be part of a future Storygram Kid’s Tour over on Instagram, so keep an eye out for that!
Finally, I got my August Tuma’s Book of the Month Box!
This is my third month getting this box and I think it’s a wonderful alternative to Book of the Month Club. I used to be a subscriber, but after some events surrounding the BLM movement I decided to part ways and was so happy to find a small business to support instead.
There are always a wonderful, diverse selection of books to choose from and Tuma sends awesome little extras as well. This month I chose Krik? Krak! by Edwidge Danticat which I’ve heard great things about! Tuma just announced the September picks, so definitely go check it out!
And here’s a shot of all the beauties I received this week! Big huge thank you to everyone who sent me books. I’m thrilled to read each and every one.
Let me know if you’ll be adding any of these books to your TBR!
